On 23rd April 1990 a stamp was issued to commemorate Giovanni Giorgi, who first proposed a scientific unit system, the MKS system with the addition of a fourth fundamental unit, the ohm, to the metre, kilogram and second.
This was the precursor of the present-day SI system, which uses the ampere instead of the ohm, along with three other fundamental units (the Kelvin, mole and candela).
The stamp in position 19 has a line through the second 1 of 1871, making it look like 1874
