This was the first Italian photogravure issue, and was printed at the newly opened State Printing Works in Rome
Most commonly found with the crown watermark inverted

The 10 lire stamp was issued later on 27th September 1929, and has no watermark. A scarce variety is known, printed on thin paper. The remaining six stamps of the set are only found with the upright crown watermark..
